David is the former Multimedia Editor at the Republican Herald in Pottsville, Pa.

He has a communications degree from Penn State University, where he focused on photography and multimedia. While studying at Penn State, David worked at The Daily Collegian, Penn State’s daily student newspaper, as a staff photographer.

Immediately after graduating, in 2008, David started freelancing for The Republican Herald, cutting his teeth covering local news and high school sports. David was hired as a staff photographer in May 2011.

In 2016, David became the first FAA certified drone pilot at the Republican Herald and has enjoyed giving Schuylkill County residents a different perspective with his aerial photos and video.

In August 2017, David was promoted to the Multimedia Editor at the Republican Herald and where he managed the photography staff and the Republican Herald’s website.

In 2024 David left the Republican Herald but still enjoys photojournalism.
